Itinerary

Day One

I will be leaving Santiago de Compostela on the 9.25 train bound for Hendaye and getting off in Donostia. This was booked two months in advance and only cost about 25 euros for a Preferente (First Class) ticket. It is to be a long journey however of almost 12 hours across the entire north of Spain nearly to the Pyrenees themselves.

Day Two

A day spent sight-seeing in Donostia and getting to know the town. A relaxing time after my exertions along the Camino and in Santiago de Compostela.

Day Three

A day trip to Bilbo with the highlight being a visit booked to the Guggenheim Museum in the morning at 10 o'clock and the afternoon spent having a wander about before catching the bus back to Donastia in the evening.

Day Four

My last day taking in the sights of Donostia and relaxing before leaving for France.

Day Five

An early train from the Eurusk?? Station for Hendaye in France. Have lunch in Hendaye before catching the TGV to Angouleme and the transfer on the TER to Ruffec. Taxi to Champagne-Mouton and arrival in early evening.
